We started making cider in 2013. It all started with a bumper crop of apples, and the question, “what will we do with them all?” We decided to try our hand at hard cider, crafting them very much like wine- because that’s what we know. Turns out, there are many similarities, and many differences, but we enjoy the process immensely. We work exclusively with local orchards, we get as many varieties as we can (we worked with over 30 in 2016), we ferment them separately, then we put together unique blends. We celebrate diversity as a key component in healthy agriculture, and cider is here to stay as we celebrate and elevate orchards in the same way we do vineyards.
